General Advice On Safe Computing

• Use different passwords for different accounts.
• Be wary of emails that direct you to reveal your password or other personal information in any way.
• When logging into a web page, look at the URL.  If the network domain of the URL is not the one associated with your account, think twice.  For example, when logging in with your NetID, the URL should be https://login.wisc.edu, not https://login.wisc.stealpasswords.com.
